Member Spotlight - Dylan Falkenberg
Dylan joined us as a member of The Combine late last year and has been a true inspiration and a great motivator to his classmates. In January he won The New Year Primal Challenge and has lost over 12 pounds of Fat Mass, additionally losing over 7% Body Fat.
How did you hear about CSC CrossFit/The Combine?
I heard about The Combine from my buddy Luke who used to coach there.
Why did you start CrossFit?
I started CrossFit because my intensity at the conventional gym I attended started to wane.
What has crossfit at The Combine done for you personally? Physically?
I have been floating belly up for over a decade; just allowing the current of life to carry me in whatever direction it wanted. The Combine has taught me how to swim again. I have never felt better in my life.
I am as confident as I have ever been. I am as positive as I have ever been. I am as strong as I have ever been. I am as healthy as I have ever been. I am taking control of my life. I question whether I would have rounded this corner without The Combine, my coaches, and the amazingly beautiful members that have been helping me seek out and expand the boundaries of my own limitations.
What do you like most about CrossFit?
I like that CrossFit provides a challenge that can be tailored to the ability of the individual making it accessible to a wide range of people.
What do you like most about The Combine?
The people!!! The coaching!!! Roberts programming!!! I probably drive past 20 CrossFit gyms on my way out to the combine from east 11th street... there is a reason for that.
What goals have you set and reached since starting at The Combine?
My only goal with this has been to bring it every day I walk through those doors. I consistently meet that goal.
What are your 3 favorite exercises?
HSPUs, DUs, One-arm Snatch...
