How did you hear about CSC CrossFit/The Combine?
I heard about C.S.C. CrossFit / The Combine as I drove past it once a week on my way to work. I was looking for a fitness program that would break me out of my boring “global gym” routine and I asked my buddy about CSC and he said that the coaches were knowledgeable and would give me a fitness experience that I would not want to turn away from.

Why did you start CrossFit?
I have played collegiate, semi and pro soccer and we have utilized cross training, running, weight lifting, etc. during our off season and in season training regimen. I was in the shape and I felt good about myself, however I realized that I was only eating clean, and exercising because it was my job. As soon as I left that strict regimen I was on a rampage to eat “everything sight” and not exercise, which made me unhealthy. I soon realized that I needed to eat clean and fit for myself. I hated the “global gym” experience and I needed something that was close to or better than my collegiate/pro cross training workouts. So I tried CSC crossfit and I fell in Love and it took me back to the “old school” days of working out at 5:30 am and rebuilding my body with strength and flexibility and I have learned to love to eat clean again and I also enjoy eating raw foods, which is the foundation of my overall wellness program. I now feel emotionally and physically healthy.

What has crossfit at The Combine done for you personally? Physically?
CSC crossfit has helped me to develop focus, balance and have helped me meet P.R. since college. CSC knowlegable coaching staff has guided me to developing a Nutrition foundation that was ideal to my Nutrition and Fitness goals. I have lost weight, I love my Nutritional plan and most of all my strength, mobility and stamina has increased which has helped me emotionally and physically. I am gaining new P.R’s, losing weight and gaining more energy throughout the day, learning to eat the right foods that will fight fatigue.

What do you like most about CrossFit?
I like the competition that cross fit brings out in people. I like seeing people get fit and healthy because they are having fun with it and are not looking at it like a chore. I also like the pace of crossfit, we get down and dirty and not waste any time, watching tv as you would at a “global gym”. Crossfit also has proven me with emotional and physical results that I have not seen or felt in a long time.

What do you like most about The Combine?
I love the coaches, they are dedicated to see all of the athletes grow and be healthy, In addition to the sense of community and camaraderie that has been developed through the “silent competition” with each other. I also like CSC’s WOD’s which push me to the next level. I have attempted to work out at half pace and the coaches are aware of our potential and when they notice they positively push to get the max out of me. My goal for the remainder of the year is to strive to be as fit as I can be and have some fun while I am doing it along with some competition or some “silent competition”

What goals have you set and reached since starting at The Combine?
I have wanted to learn how to eat clean and raw (and stick to it), which has been the foundation of my fitness regimen. My goal was to get healthy, lose weight, gain strength and flexibility and stick with I (which I have been and I love every moment of it). As Ghandi would say. “A man is but the product of his thoughts what he thinks, he becomes.

What are your 3 favorite exercises?
My three favorite exercises are Thrusters, running and Curtis P’s.
